We're incredibly honoured to have the South African jersey in our organisation, following Marc Pritzen’s brilliant victory at the SA Road Champs in Swellendam. No doubt Marc, who is an integral member of the Team Qhubeka Continental team, will wear the colours with pride throughout the year showcasing yet again the incredible platform and opportunity our organisation offers to those looking to make it at the highest level.
While we’re celebrating successes, Giacomo's stunning new BMC paintwork was unveiled last week ahead of Milan-Sanremo, paying tribute to him as both the Italian and European Champion. We're incredibly fortunate to have a network of partners who celebrate our triumphs with such excitement.
I also hope that you will enjoy the first episode as Team Qhubeka ASSOS of ‘UnClipped’, our team podcast. It’s a unique product among the pro peloton drawing on the riders and staff within our team to offer key insights and perspective. It’s a must-listen so please do subscribe to the series, and share it widely. And as always, we look forward to hearing your feedback.
All the best,
Doug
Team Qhubeka rider Marc Pritzen stormed to victory at the South African Road Race championships in Swellendam, claiming both the elite title and the under23 title.
Marc currently rides for our development team, and Team Qhubeka now hold the jerseys of both the South African champion as well as that of the current Ethiopian road race champion Negasi Abreha Haylu. 🇿🇦 🇪🇹
Negasi started his season off last week, at Per Sempre "Alfredo. Negasi has been unable to return home, due to conflict in his home region. His family are alive, though communication with them remains limited. We continue to keep him and his family in our thoughts.
We're extremely proud to have both these national jerseys in our ranks, showcasing the role our Conti team plays in laying a foundation and providing the opportunity for riders from Africa to compete at the highest level.
Antonio Puppio, an Italian rider fron our continental team, spent a week racing with our World Tour team in Belgium recently and gave us this short recap of what the experience meant to him.
