Welcome to our next edition of Data Sets and Beating Hearts. In the past week, we completed our first E-race, which was a great success. We look forward to more opportunities like this in the future.
As restrictions start to ease globally, our riders are eagerly anticipating a return to riding outdoors and we are adapting our preparation and training accordingly. While we may still be distanced, connecting as a team remains critical to us, and we hope you enjoy a look into our team building event: 5000 Cal Challenge.
We hope everyone is well. Happy reading.
As part of a team building exercise, Gunther Landrie, head carer, challenged individuals in the team to partner up (rider and staff member) and each pair had to burn at least 5000 calories. Over 50 people participated in the challenge and we lost over 180 000 calories as a team!
We'll be challenging our partners to get involved with this in the coming week.
We asked Dr Piet de Moor (Head Doctor) and Nic Dlamini to send us a picture showing us who is around their table during the lockdown.Currently in Belgium, Piet is with his wife and two daughters.
Nic and his girlfriend, Zia, are staying with Christa Traksel (our hospitality manager) and her family in the Netherlands during this time.
We used our Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise Rainbow communications platform, to connect our riders, coaches and sports directors during the Digital Swiss 5 E-Race.
Here is an abridged behind the scenes look at how race four played out.
